Statement
"I am the Laughter. My works are my punchlines. I just want to create a genre of art that inspires a smile. My main focus is to show that art Shouldn't have to be so serious. We should be able to poke fun at art and enjoy it like a comedy show or a musical piece. I think the art galleries should inspire fun not seriousness. I would rather see a child bumping into one of my paintings then an art collector determining its value. I would love a rowdy crowd not a bunch of "SHUSHERS". I just want to have fun with my paintings and I want everyone else to do the same."
EMER
Born October the 18th 1978 in Dover, New Jersey as Chad Joseph Reilly. Emer grew up addicted to cartoons and strung out on Comics. His first works were caveman like drawings with crayola crayons on the walls of his room. In his teens he was a rebel either reading Comics or skateboarding on the mean streets of Vero Beach, Fl. Managing to find trouble around every corner and numerous run-ins with the police. He soon packed his bags and headed out west where he studied Graphic Design in Long Beach, California. Moving back to the south he started doing grafitti and studying typography. Going to school in Gainesville, Fl. he found a love for folk art and was schooling himself in art history, Grabbing knowledge from every movement in art. Soon he found his own art didn't really fit into any category, so he created his own. "Pop-Folk" which he practices religiously in Atlanta, GA today.
